While Summer may be upon us (give or take a few rainy days) it is pretty much officially "bathing suit season". I've always been the bikini type of gal myself, but as I was perusing online I stumbled across very chic one-pieces that may have turned me into a sometimes bikini gal.

1. camilla and marc (ShopBop; $229): Whenever I see or think of ruffles I automatically think feminine. This suit makes girly girl side of me want to come out and play (or take a dip in the pool). The back of the suit is also beautiful, however it probably does call for some pretty ugly tan lines.

2. Forever 21 Feather Peacock Monokini ($22.80): Recently Forever 21 has come out with a line of swimsuits which I happen to adore. They are cheap, fun, and definitely offer a variety to work with. I love the colors of this particular suit, as well as the cut.

3. American Eagle Retro Suit ($19.99): The basic black bathing suit in all of it's glory. The ties call for this suit to be a halter, but I like how it is criss-crossed in the picture.

Thursday evening Rihanna attended the DKMS' 3rd Annual Gala, wearing what looks to be a Louis Vuitton necklace. I absolutley loved this accessory on the runway. The necklace is definitely a bold statement piece.

I was fortunate enough to have Jessica from Polished Sense, put together a list of five Spring Essentials! Check them out below!

Looking for this season’s essentials? Start with these simple pieces that won’t break your wallet.

1. Cage-like heels. They are so hot right now, plus they make a huge statement! Try the Luichiny Starbound heels. They are priced very reasonable and they go great with skirts, dresses & leggings.

2. An inexpensive beach bag. Everyone heads to the beach when the weather turns awesome. Why not freshen up your look with a new one this season. Look for one with a fantastic print that you love!

3. Thick bangles. They don’t have to be fancy, but they are a great accessory because they are timeless. If you take good care of them they will last for seasons to come. Find at least one yellow one and wear it with different outfits for a pop of color.

4. A one-should strap dress. You can pick a solid color or a print, just make sure you love it. I like prints because they make such an appearance wherever you go. This is a fabulous piece!

5. Something neon. I know, it’s a little bit of a stretch for some, but it can be something that doesn’t cost a lot. Find something you can wear more than once, so you can wear it to the beach over a swimsuit, with jean shorts and a belt or under a cardigan paired with a necklace. Trust me, you’ll get noticed!

Rock Your Body

Yesterday, as a two year anniversary present, my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to see Kings of Leon (one of my favorite bands), in Fairfax, VA. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!", I squealed. And of course my next thought was, WHAT DO I WEAR!? Since my camera has been on the fritz (ahem, dad if you are reading this please take note), I pulled what I wore from online.

It was a sweltering 70 degrees out, (and if you've read my earlier posts, I know, I know, i asked for this), so I went with casual and simple. I wore a lilac silk blend tank from Forever 21 ($8.80), white Forever 21 skinny jeans ($13.50), Nine West Harvey sandals ($59), and my silver vintage Halston bag (priceless). The show was amazing, and I was beyond comfortable. I can get used to this no fuss dressing.

Miley Cyrus wore a Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2009 dress to her Hannah Montana premiere in London, England today. The dress fits her perfectly, and is complimented well by her silver accessories. The spiked bangles give a little edge to the outfit and Cyrus, (well as much edge as a 16 year old can have).

April showers bring May Flowers..

It has been raining non stop, give or a take a few days, here in Baltimore. How I long to be able to wear a T-shirt dress, or even flip-flops for that matter. This rain makes me want to dress in all black head to toe, however I am hopeful (fingers crossed), that I will be able to wear something along the lines of this soon:
